Update on Barbara's Service

((Quoted from an email:))

"Hi everyone,

I attended the quarterly business meeting last night, and there have been some changes to Barbara Bongiovanni’s service. First of all, the family is having the reception at another location other than Faunce. So, there is no need to bring food. Please pass this message along to anyone you know, as this is a change from what was said at church last Sunday. The location is unknown at this point (where the gathering will be after the service)

Also, although the service is at 11:00, Pastor Jim is asking if people could try to get there at 10:00, he has asked us to please not park in the usual parking areas, as these will be for the family and guests. Please park in the grassy area behind the parking lot across from church, or at the parsonage or the Pitney lot.

Please sit downstairs, the sanctuary upstairs will be where the family and their guests will sit. The service will be able to be heard downstairs. They will be renting chairs, so there should be plenty of chairs. They are expecting a very big turnout, so that is why he wants people to get there early.

I will see you tomorrow night.

With love,

Introduction to "The Search For Significance" by Robert McGee - What Our Ladies are Working On

From the flap:

"Many Christians continue to find their self-worth in their ability to please others. But shouldn't you learn to base your self-worth on the love, acceptance, and forgiveness of Christ?

The Search for Significance will show you how to find intensity and passion through Christ and His Cause - and not through the empty promises of status, wealth, or beauty. When you have finished reading this book, you will:

*know how to apply the words of Christ, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free," to the most basic areas of your life - your goals, motives, and sense of self-worth

*learn how to get off the performance treadmill and discover why personal success, beauty, and wealth do not bring lasting happiness

*discover why the man or woman who lives only for the love and attention of another is never satisfied

*learn how to be intense and ambitious about our Lord Jesus Christ - and become truly free to enjoy Christ's love.

Discover a new, Christ-centered approach to healing that has already changed the lives of thousands!"
